It’s days like this that I like to remember that the Irish government are ever proud of the Spire of Dublin.

It’s literally a 400 ft metal spike sticking out of the ground. It was supposed to be done for the new millennium but they didn’t start building it until 2002.

And it’s supposed to be self-cleaning but it doesn’t work and there’s no way to clean it.

The entire point of it was to claim that I do not trust 100% of what the American government says who the terrorists are since the CIA created and funded the Taliban to create the “everyone from the Middle East is a terrorist” bullshit, not to mention what really happened on 9/11.

I sincerely apologize if I have offended anyone by saying ISIS COULD BE something that America is funding to keep up the Middle Eastern terrorist parade.

mod jess this apology is a steaming pile of shit and you need to stop trying to rationalize your bullshit and just acknowledge that what you said was fucking awful

This is the most flippant dismissive “yeah get off my back” snake shit I’ve ever read lmao sit on a dick and ride it to hell

I fucking hate Americans. Take your god damned blinders off and realize that nations can have complex issues without the magical stirring spoon of the US and it’s money!! states and their terrorists can exist completely independently from the US! the US isnt the leader of the world! isnt that crazy and new information for you, Jess!

Gosh I really don’t want to reply to this but this is getting out of hand.

The original post was not a “get off my back” post. This was an apology to people who were offended about what I said about ISIS. HOWEVER, y’all have misinterpreted what I said, hence I had to repeat myself in this post.

I do certainly realize that other nations have complex issues that do not relate back to the US, but living here in the US and having the constant reminder that Middle Eastern terrorism is “OH SO BAD” while POC are being murdered for being who they are by white supremacists, it makes me doubt who the US claims are terrorists! That’s all I’m saying here. For centuries the US has distracted its people with fake terrorism and other things to have us look away while they push some corpses under the rug.

I do not want people to believe that ISIS is a fake group and to forget about the deaths they have caused because that is not what I said. What I said (for the third time) is that I am not the first to believe what America claims to be “terrorism” and “terrorists groups” while the white supremacists who terrorize POC in America are ignored. For years America has tried to make the Middle East and its people the terrorizers of the world and to see Obama and the White House speak about ISIS during the week of 9/11 didn’t set right with me. It was like a thing to rekindle the fire of hatred white Americans have with those who are Muslim and to make them seen as “savages” and us as “heroes” and “leaders of the world”. Trust me, I know the US leads in nothing but hypocrisy and lies.

That is all I am saying.

I feel the strong need to say that this is just about the most embarrassingly blinkered, US-centric post I’ve seen in a long time. For someone who supposedly hates America, you’re doing a pretty good job at thinking America is the centre of the universe. Thousands of people have left countries around the world to join the Islamic State. Here in Britain, people have openly given out flyers to recruit people to go, in broad daylight in the streets of London. There are hundreds of Twitter accounts of people in Britain which openly support the Islamic State because they feel it is how they think (Sunni) Muslims should be living and think it’s the ideal according to the Quran. Before Twitter went all censor-y with Islamic State Twitter accounts I used to read the stuff from English speaking accounts (including fighters who tweeted in English from places like Cambodia), and they were all pretty damn genuine about what they were doing.
Perhaps rather than reflexively thinking something can’t be a terrorist group just because you hate America, realise that other countries are incredibly concerned about all of this. In Brussels, a guy who’d been fighting for Islamic State in Syria, went into the Jewish Museum and shot a bunch of people. French police recently foiled attempts to commit terrorist attacks on the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and a nuclear power plant, and at the NATO summit it was mentioned that there have been several other foiled plots in Europe. But yeah, according to you this is alllll about the USA.
No.

The Kurdish governments don’t have dangerous White supremacy problems.  Do you believe them when they say that the Islamic State is a terrorist group, considering the Islamic State’s genocide of Yezidi Kurds and ethnic cleansing of Christian minorities?  Do you think this exists in a bubble?  Do you honestly think that the US has the biggest dog in this fight?  Please stop embarrassing yourself.  Read some news from a source that isn’t tumblr and maybe brush up on your post-World War I (at the very least) Middle East History before you decide to disregard reality entirely.
